Get to know the man who saved you!

For God so love the world!

Many of us know this famous and well known scripture, "For God so love the world that he gave his only son that whosoever believe in him will not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16. But how many of knows what was really sacrifice that day. How many of us are willing to have their own children tortured, spit on, cursed at, and finally killed so that another person might be saved. The answer is...........NONE! Not even myself could conjure up such love and kindness from my heart. But God did, he gave his one and only son up so that we might have a chance freedom. Freedom from what you might ask me. Freedom from death. If you read the bible you see that it tells you that, "we have ALL sinned and ALL have come short of the glory of God Romans 3:23. Now the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is life through his son Jesus "Romans 6:23. I'll tell you this not one person is going to be able to escape that. But there is a way, God made a way for us all not one race or one kind religion but for everyone. And that is through his only Son Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the light. No man comes to the Father but through me" John 14:6. I'll try to break down that verse for you as best as I can. He said that he is the way, meaning that the only way you getting to heaven to see the Father or to have a relationship with the Father is through. It's kind like traveling the way to enter another country is by using a passport. Well the same goes here. Jesus came and died that we may have the privilege of getting to know the one who created and gave life to us. He came and broke down barriers that was keeping us from going to heaven. Keeping us from our rightful place at the throne of God.

I am the truth. Here Jesus talking about himself again and he is saying that he is truth by bringing us good news that we have won the battle, that we saved through him. That we can finally come home, for the Father has been patiently waiting for us to come home. If you are looking for the truth in your turn to Jesus and he will give you rest, peace and comfort. "For God did not send his Son into the world, to condemn the world but that the world might be save through him". Jesus is rock and our salvation and we need to have firm foundation in the world today. He is that foundation, he is that solid rock. The world today is corrupt and full of deceit and lies. That the enemy has plague our minds with false messages. Thank God that he sent his Son to tell us the truth.

I am the light. Jesus uses that same phrase in another verse "I am the light of world, he who follows me will not walk into darkness but will have the light of life" John 8: 12. He is saying that believe in him and accept him your heart as your lord and saviour. And believe that he came died for your sins. You will not be in darkness but in the light. For those who does not believe will sadly still be lost and can't their way. Unable to find peace and comfort. They will be wandering like lost sheep. But those who have Jesus in their hearts have the light (for he is the light) will have no need to worry, feel lost, confused, heartbroken for he is the 'Good Shepherd'. If you really did a research on shepherds you will see that they tend to flocks like a mother will take care of her children. Watching their every moves, protecting them, guiding them and when they are lost, find them. Thats who Jesus is in our lives, he is our comforter for when we are sad, our guide for when we lose our way, our teacher, teaching us to love and care for one another, protecting us from all cruel plots of the enemy. He is our saviour. He loves you and wants you to come home. So won't you give yourself to Jesus today. He is the way, the truth and the light. Just say this prayer if you will like to ask Jesus to come live in your heart.

Dear Jesus, I believe that you are the true Son of God and that you came and gave your life for me so that I might have the privilege to everlasting life. Come into my heart today and make me new creature, wash away my sins with the blood that you shed. I want to come home to you, Lord. In Jesus name I prayer. Amen.
